3 Bags Full of Alpaca

Sue was contacted a while ago in regard to spinning some Alpaca for the Luddenham Knitters group which meets at Holy Family Church.

Three bags were donated by a parishioner who had a pet Alpaca and the ladies wished for it to be spun so they could knit a garment and raise funds for charity.

Sue took the fleece and carded it then spun it as a 3 ply, producing 12 skeins
which equated to a total of over 4,000 metres. After being washed it was over 1.7kg in total. It took 145 hours to card and spin.

It should produce approx three garments depending on what is made.
