This is the 2nd of the three No78's I own (centre one in pic) it wasn't as bad as the first in some ways however it had some nasty score marks on one side and on the sole this taking me longer to rectify and still I did not remove it all. No painting required as it was in good condition generally.
It fist got a good clean with Kero to remove what was just wood dust a wire brush scrub took care of the very light surface rust. A quick stone prior using Texta to highlight the worst of higgh and lows as well as score marks.
Sue cleaned up and did some TLC to the cardboard box the the first one.
