Antique Machinery

Last year Sue and I found the Sydney Antique Machinery clubs major event, expecting to go and be there for just a couple of hours we stayed for four or five.

Last Saturday was our chosen day of the two it was on this year and from 9am till after 4pm we had a brilliant day out strolling round, chatting, me taking video and Sue photos. Once the video is edited I'll come back and add links mean while enjoy some of the photos taken.

The day started off with a surprise as an old mate who drives big rigs had come down from Queensland to deliver to Sydney but with another pick up in New England region had to high tail it. Little did we know his plans changed as we drove towards the gate I spotted his truck and trailer, he had been here since 6am a quick catch up and he was on his way with a different load.

Meeting some new and old friends as we wondered round made the day even better, even the Ornamental Turners had a stand there.

The exhibits were all laid out well and the owners willing to chat about the restorations or workings of.

This is "Tiny" a 12 ton 8 cylinder back up motor which use to be housed in Sydney HQ of Tesltra/Telecom. It runs and sounds so sweet purs like a kitten till its rev are increased and the blower/turbo cuts in.

There was much more. The rows of trucks, tractors, motor bikes, stationary engines, remote control trucks, the buses, tools for sale and even a drag car.

Edited to add the video link. Sydney Antique Machinery Show

This video is part 1 but shows the majority of what was there to see.
